Can I get a ride in the moving truck?
No. For insurance purposes only staff of Super Duper Moves Inc. are allowed in moving vehicles while goods are being transported.
Is there a minimum charge to hire your moving company?
Yes. There is a three hour minimum charge. We follow all labour codes of Canada, and they impose the three hour minimum. It also helps us keep our qualified movers from leaving.
How far in advance should I schedule my move?
4 to 6 weeks in advance, especially in the summer months. We can usually handle short and last minute move requests depending on the day.
Can you move my plants?
Plants have a tendency to suffer during the move due to elements such as heat/cold, light and other factors. Super Duper Movers Inc. cannot take responsibility for damaged plants.
Are your moving trucks reliable?
Yes. We regularly inspect and maintain our moving trucks, but if they do happen to break down we reserve the right to rent a truck for your relocation.
Can I, or my friends, help?
Yes. You are paying by the hour, so the extra help will reduce your moving costs.
Can you disassemble my furniture?
Yes. We have all necessary tools to disassemble and assemble your furniture. We do ask If you have something like a bed or table etc. to be disassembled, let us know prior to coming so we can factor in the time.
Can I buy tote boxes and other moving supplies from you?
Yes. See our moving supplies list and contact us to order. We also have a partnership with Ecobox for plastic moving boxes.
What if it rains or snows on move day?
We will still go ahead with your move and take extra care to secure and protect your belonging when outside.
What type of moving equipment do you have?
All of our moving equipment is in good condition. We bring all necessary moving equipment to each move, such as: Tools, Dollies, Platform trucks, Straps, Moving Blankets, Wardrobe Closets, etc.
What if I have to cancel my move?
Let us know ASAP and we can reschedule.
Can I bring my propane BBQ on your moving truck?
No. We are not licensed to transport hazardous, flammable or combustible material.
I have some things that need to go to the dump. Can you take those?
Yes. let us know before the move and we can organize best time to go. Dump fees required.
Can we make a stop to pick up or drop off something on the way?
Yes. Just let us know ahead of time so we can properly plan and schedule you move. Making a stop or two along the way will change the length of your move and we need to make sure we set a proper arrival time for customers that may be after you.
How are we charged?
For local moves, we charge by the hour and round down to the nearest 15 minutes. For long distance moves, we offer flat rate services.
Are there any items you do not move?
We do not move propane, gasoline, guns and ammunition, and priceless art.
Are there any items that have extra fees?
Yes. If you have any heavy or specialty items there may be an additional charge. Please let us know about these items before the day of your move so that we can prepare for them and let you know if there will be an additional fee for them. Specialty items may include: pianos, safes, arcade games, etc.
How does insurance pay?
$0.60 cents per lb
What is the truck fee for?
The truck fee ensures no hidden charges at the end of your move. It takes care of paying for our employee to get to and from the job, materials used and fuel.
